Creation of a form family| 2012

This is a more abstract work where "form famely" creation was the primary objective.
Together with a fellow student ( Wembo Vereeken ) we created following tree forms out of bottles of
detergents. Only the top part was used. Combining two cut out parts of different bottles,
connecting them true their handle, the resounding forms looked like swan shaped-portable-lamps.
And most importantly for the mission; although they were all created out of differed bottles originally,
they clearly communicated the same "form-language" making them into a "form family".

The technique to make these shapes was using the cut out detergent bottles as a mould and pouring polyurethane resin into them, and then essentially rotomoulding them. For more information about this technique please visit these two pages: principle; machine.

This type of tasks helped me in having the insights that idea's not only comes from analysing and tought but also can be created true experimentation also known as opportunity creation.
